Licensing Opportunities

The following models are available for license:
transADMET™ mice.
Key murine genes involved in the metabolic response to drugs (e.g. PXR, CAR, cytochrome P450s, drug transporters) are replaced with their human equivalents to give a more predictive and “human-like” response. At present the PXR and CAR Receptor Mouse panel is available for license
The HRN™ Mouse.
A unique mouse model with no hepatic CYP450 activity, that can be used to determine ADME, PK and efficacy in the absence of confounding first-pass metabolism.
ToxReporter Mice.
In vivo models for the rapid assessment of potential mechanisms of toxicity. The promoters of genes activated in response to toxic agents have been linked to proprietary reporters, to provide rapid in vivo methods for the assessment of candidate compounds.
The AREc32 cell line.
A luciferase reporter cell line for compounds that induce oxidative stress (e.g. potential skin sensitisers), and compounds with cytoprotective properties.
Transactivation assays.
Several transactivation assays have been developed to measure the activation of specific nuclear hormone receptors by test compounds. These have been developed to investigate the species differences in toxicity mediated through interaction with these receptors assays. We can custom design and build assays like this to investigate particular mechanistic issues to address the client's specific requirements.
Collaborative research.
CXR Biosciences is pioneering the development of new proprietary models for ADME and toxicity screening that are more rapid, more informative and more relevant to man than existing approaches. CXR Biosciences is keen to collaborate with other companies to develop new models.
